Ford's new Super Duty truck is a sight to behold. Featured on this web page is John's 1999 FORD F-250 SUPER DUTY XLT 4X4 CREW CAB TRUCK which he is very proud of.

The styling of the Super Duty is a sight to behold. The bold front end can stare down the toughest challenges.

There's absolutely no mistaking the awesome silhouette of John's F-Series Super Duty truck. It's totally awesome look and style is an accurate indication of the superb power, strength, looks, pleasure and performance it possesses.

There are so many Ford F-250's to choose from! Of the awesome 44 model configurations, you can custom design and build your own to meet your needs and requirements.

John's truck configuration cannot be found anywhere else in America, as it was designed and built to his rigid specifications.

Compared to other's, my F-Series Super Duty truck has the roomiest cab in its class and it is very comfortable to boot.

John's truck offers the largest available V-10 engine with best-in-class torque and horsepower, and with plenty of add-on's, my truck packs plenty of horses under the hood, plenty enough for any need.

For over fifty years, Ford's F-Series has been meeting the needs of demanding truckers like yourself. America's best-selling full-size pickup for 21 years in a row, Ford now offers over 50 models to custom fit the job, or your taste, including the only Super Cabs to offer 4 doors standard in its manufacturing line of products.

Even though Ford's F-Series pickup trucks have been yours and America's best-selling new trucks for the last 16 years, the introduction of the re-designed 1997 F-150 in January 1996 increased that lead beyond comprehension.

For 1999 and now for 2000, Ford has introduced an all-new F-Series Super Duty truck that is unbelievably awesome. Unlike previous heavy-duty F-Series models, the new Super Duty is built on a separate platform from the light-duty F-150 and F-250, both of which have a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) under 8,500 pounds.

With three engines to choose from, including a new, awesome V-10 power plant with higher torque and horsepower, the F-Series Super Duty provides plenty of power to deal with your hauling or towing needs.

John's F-Series Super Duty V-10 gasoline power plant choice has the awesome power to match any heavy duty task that he demands.

Hauling, pushing, four wheeling, or towing, it's designed to stand up to the toughest jobs that John requires of his truck, with a maximum payload of over 3,000 pounds.

John's F-250 Super Duty is the only logical and first step into the 8,500-pound-GVWR and over world of pick-up trucks.

My F-250 Super Duty, with a towing capacity of over 13,500 pounds and a GCWR of 20,000 pounds, offers 32 total option configurations, thirteen of which are totally unique on my truck.

A factory installed Class IV Hitch/Receiver, with no after-market wiring required, is also available for all of your towing needs.

Factory installed closed eye tow hooks, which attach directly to the frame, are available and come installed as standard equipment on all 4X4's to help get you out of those bad 'sippi holes.

Telescoping trailer tow mirrors are also available as an option. Y2K models come with the new telescoping mirror option that allows you to adjust their position depending on the width of your trailer.

New for Y2K is a 310 HP V-10 with over 425 foot pounds of torque!

The Triton™ 6.8L V-10 gasoline power plant in my Super Duty is the only overhead cam 10-cylinder engine in its class for heavy duty pick-up trucks. 95% of its pulling power is available at 2,000 rpm for the low rpm, high torque muscle that John demands on occasion and for exceptional towing power.

The Y2K 6.8L SOHC* V-10 Triton engine puts out 310hp@2,300rpm and 425 lbs-ft of torque@2,700rpm (Ford Specification). Ford's Triton engines are designed and made to travel at least 100,000 miles before a tune-up is needed under normal driving conditions as long as you change your fluids and filters regularly.  And if you get into towing trouble and lose all cooling fluid, the cooling system will automatically sequence alternate cylinder firings to help protect against heat and damage and let you 'limp' to a service station.

Trucking isn’t all four-wheeling, towing, slamming and banging. John's truck provides a very comfortable sanctuary in which to make those long hauls and to do the thinking part of the job or just to hit the highway, cruise and relax.

John's F-250 Super Duty interior, in fact, is downright luxurious, built with fully automatic transmission with overdrive, full interior power with all available interior options and luxurious Captain's Chairs. The F-250 has the best-in-class roominess of any truck on the road.

My Ford F-250 Super Duty chassis combines innovative features with rugged, time-proven construction to create the perfect platform for commercial, 4X4 and heavy-duty personal use for my everyday requirements. The 4.30 Limited Slip rear axle in John's rig helps his awesome power plant get those heavy loads to full speed very quickly.

John's Super Duty truck suspension, tow package option and custom steering system offers an improved ride, excellent ride control and outstanding directional stability over other similar trucks on the market. Heavy Duty shocks and long leaf springs provide heavy load carrying capacity and great riding comfort.

My truck's special 4X4 Off-Road vehicle configuration features the specially tuned heavy duty suspension option, limited slip 4.30 gear ratio rear axle, 4X4 Off-Road package with skid plates to help protect the undercarriage and 4 Wheel ABS brakes, while still providing excellent highway handling characteristics.

My F-250 Super Duty 4X4 truck also features the available 4 Wheel Drive "electronic Shift-on-the-fly" system. The only truck model on the market with 8,800 lbs. GVWR to do so. The available electronic "Shift-on-the-fly" system features Pulse Vacuum Hub lock with standard manual override capability, which is invaluable if required.

Among the accessories installed when the truck was new are Husky Liners molded mud guards and the highest quality polished stainless steel fender trim.

Also included is a Hitch/Receiver Brake Light and rear clearance lights as an added safety feature.

With John's Super Duty F-Series, power 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes are included in the package, and they really work well! It’s one example of Ford's Super Duty performance-oriented design.

My truck option and accessory list (below) includes every factory option available for the F-250 Super Duty except for the camper package and leather interior.

Black with Silver Metallic accent, John's truck is an awesome, true beauty!
